• Continuance on the rolls of the school is subject to satisfactory progress in studies.
• Students must be regular and punctual in attendance. For leave of absence previous sanction is to be obtained from the Principal in writing.
• Leave of absence during the term will not be granted except under very special circumstances.
• Requests for leave on medical ground must be supported by a certificate of medical practitioner. In this case the application must be forwarded at ---- least on the second day of the leave.
• Fee must be paid regularly. A student’s name is liable to be struck off if the fees are in arrears at the end of the respective quarter.
• All dues and arrears must be cleared before the half yearly and annual examination respectively.
• Students may be required to attend extra classes on any working day after school hours, or on holidays, provided they have been informed on the ---- previous day. Students themselves must make the alternative arrangement for their conveyance etc. if necessary.
• Students will not be allowed to leave the school during the school hours. So parents are advised not to come with such requests.
• Students shall not be permitted to be absent from classes for the sake of celebrations and festivals.
• All students will have to take part in the extra - curricular activities, co-curricular activities, drill etc. No requests for exemption will be entertained.
• No Student is allowed to bring mobile phone, camera, radio or any other electronic item to the school without prior permission; if found in possession, they will be rusticated from the school without any prior notice.
• Only those who attained permissible age and have a valid driving license will be allowed come to the school on two wheelers. Helmet in compulsory- for All those who use two wheelers.
Admission and Withdrawal
• Admission of the student in the school will be on the basis of merit.
• For admission the necessary documents such as the Transfer Certificate from the institution last attended and the copy of the mark list of the qualifying examination must be submitted.
• For taking admission the parents of the student must inevitably be present and sign the admission form.
• If a student is absent from the school for three consecutive days from the day of re-opening, without forwarding a leave application in writing, his/her name will be struck off the rolls. If a student is absent from the school for Ten days consecutively without leave application, his/her name will be removed from the school rolls. In both cases the re-admission will be considered as fresh admission.
• Applications for Transfer Certificate must be forwarded by the parent/guardian of the student. Transfer Certificate will be issued only after the student has paid all the dues and arrears towards the school.
• If a student is leaving the school during the school year he/she will have to pay all the dues and fees for the whole of the year, for Transfer Certificate to be issued in his/her favor.
Attendance and leave
• A minimum attendance of 80% of the working days will only qualify a student for promotion, hence the need for regular attendance.
• Attendance is compulsory on National holidays, such as the Independence Day, Republic Day, Teacher’s Day, Children’s Day, Opening and Closing days of the term and the opening days after the special holidays, and other days specially asked from the school. Absence on these days will be ----- punishable. In case of sickness, it must be notified to the school authorities in time.
• During Class hours students will not be allowed to go home or elsewhere; in case of some emergency cases, the parent of the student has to give---- the explanation, or has to give the authorization to anyone else sent; however the decision remains at the discretion of the Principal.
• Leave of absence for the whole day or part thereof will not be granted except in emergent case and on the previous written application of the parents,- or Guardian in the absence of parents.
• Frequent Leave and repeated absence for festivals, weddings trips etc. will render a student liable for removal from the roll.
• Medical leave for more than three days must invariably be accompanied with medical certificate.
• Leave applications will invariably bear the signature of the parents (guardians in their absence) Failure to submit an application for the leave will render a student liable to be sent home.
• Students shall be punctual and regular in attendance for leave of absence previous sanction is to be obtained from the Principal in writing. A fine will -- be imposed for absence without previous sanction of leave.
Recommendations to the parents
• Parents are expected to co-operate with the school authorities by ensuring that the children observe punctuality and discipline, prepare their lessons-- and take an active part in the activities of the school
• Private tuition is not encouraged. Instead, the parents are requested to give personal attention to the children and help them in their doubts as far as-- possible.
• Parents should check the school calendar regularly and sign any report recorded by the teachers, and the assignments and home work given.
• Parents/guardians are requested to be in constant touch with the school to have a clear knowledge of their ward’s progress in studies. They must by-- all means attend the parent-teacher meeting to consult with the teachers regarding their children.
• Parents are not allowed to interview the teachers in the class room or in the staff -room, without the permission of the principal. Those who wish to-- seek information or any suggestion may do it during the Parent- Teachers meeting. Those who wish to make any complaint about their children’s ---- education or other matters should do so to the Principal, and not to the class teacher.
• Parents/guardians shall not go to the class rooms during the school hours nor call them out of the class. In the case of any necessity they shall contact at the office
• When a student is likely to be absent owing to illness for a long period, the Principal must be informed through an application for leave supported by Medical Certificate within a week. Failure to do so will result in the child’s name being removed from the school roll.
• The Principal or teacher may punish a pupil for habitual idleness, disobedience or misconduct. indiscipline, not preparing the lessons etc. by suspension or removal without assigning, any reason for the action
• Criticism of a student’s teachers in his/her presence must be avoided. In case of a legitimate complaint, the Principal must be contacted.
• Children must be trained in self-help by encouraging them to work and study. They should be taught to keep their rooms clean and tidy, make their own beds, polish their own shoes, carry their own bags, etc. The formation of such habits in early life will inculcate in them the dignity of work, a fundamental necessary for a successful career.
• The school authorities are not responsible for the safety of a student after the school hours. Necessary arrangements must therefore be made to take the children home immediately after the class.
• The school accepts no responsibility if through failure in wearing school uniform, bringing books to class, getting the signature of the parents on remarks written by teachers or on the absence record in the Hand book or not paying the fees in time, the student is obliged to return home during class hours.
• No school business will be transacted during the holidays or outside the school hours.
• The one who signs in the admission form of the student will be responsible for the student and is supposed to contact the school for the Parent- Teacher meeting of for any other purpose. If the student does not reside with the parents, the parents will have to introduce the guardian or the person in charge to the Principal. The school will not accept any other person to represent the guardian.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS TO STUDENTS
• In your dress and behaviour keep a sense of self - respect. Right behaviour is the expression of fine character and a good personality.
• Be simple in your ways and words.
• Avoid using indecent language.
• Make use of words ‘please’ and ‘thanks’ more often. If you have to criticize, do not be destructive, but be constructive.
• In all your dealings with others be polite and obliging. Always try to be a good companion to help others and hurt nobody.
• Respect your elders and teachers, whenever you meet them, greet them with respect and love.
• Be polite and helpful to the strangers coming to the school.
• English is the medium of communication in the school premises. Speak only in English during the school hours.
• Before and after every class stand up for prayer.
• No exemption shall be given from school programmes and functions. Every student is supposed to take part and co-operate in the various school activities such as cultural programmes, sports and games, drill etc.
• Students re exhorted to make use of the Library and Reading Room. Books and periodicals must be carefully handled and kept neat and tidy.
